General Bike Care, or, How to make your E-Bike Sexy!

Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away with the subject titles. :P

Been meaning to give the Condor a good cleaning other than just a quick towel+water wipedown, and on the way home tonight I picked up some ArmorAll Protectant/UV spray. Wow, what a difference! Especially after it's been out in the sun for a bit, I noticed some of the fairing was a tad dull-looking, but after using the spray it seems to have made a huge difference. Even the new trunk is shinier than it was when I got it. I was tempted to use it on the leather seat but I think that'd be a no-no, better look for something that won't possibly make it slippery. A friend of mine took the liberty of using their Tire Foam product a few days back, and same thing, the tires look even better than brand new. I thought this stuff was a joke, but it's actually pretty decent!

Now I just need to give the rims/spokes a good cleaning. At one point I actually considered painting them (metallic) black, but I don't think I'll do that...

What products do you guys like to use, any good/bad experiences to share?

I use a good coating of good old Turtle Wax and metal polish for the rims, once or twice a year. But I do not mind the weathered look, gives my Condor "character" to match the skull and cross bones decals I put on it.

I use the Armor All silicone wipes (in a tub). They do make the seat slippery, so I wont do that again. But the fairings and solid wheel rims are good as new.

I'm looking for ways to make my e-bike NOT sexy so that it's less likely to be stolen. I like it all lubricated and adjusted properly for best performance, but rather drab and ugly looking.

So far, the dirt is accumulating nicely on my rims, fenders, motor housing, frame, etc. A bit of rust on the hubs and carrier are good too. I just have to make sure that the weight doesn't become a problem. LOL
