Using the Touchstone, or whatever the call it, right? But it's done via some sort of magnetic field if I understood correctly.
Innovative, but not really anything new. I've had wireless, "battery-less" mice at my store which operate on the same concept. The issue with this, is that of course, they still rely on direct contact with the power source. I suppose if you could create a large enough field, you'd have more space to work with. But could you imagine having thousands of little magnetic/charging fields all around the city? *pictures clusters of metallic objects flying around through the city randomly, bouncing from field to field* Lol. |

Actually inductive charging has been around for a long time... not uncommon for some forklift systems... The diff. here is the large distance between the coils while still maintaining not bad efficiencies. Shameful to lose 50% of the power if just too lazy to plug in, but could be practical in some circumstances! tks llock |
