ACK!!! $1100!!

Would you buy a used ebike from this woman?

N0??? Well, for only $100 she will talk to you on the phone for 1 - 1.5 hours... during which time she will delve into your "Akashic Record"... Akashic Record, you ask?
The Akashic Record is the past, present and future knowledge of all things. It is the recording of the Soul's journey since inception, as well as the possibilities of its unfolding in the future. The Akashic Record is referred to in virtually every ancient spiritual teaching. It is also knows as "The Book of Life".

An Akashic Record Consultation consists of opening up the records of Your Soul, with your permission, and allowing the information from this profound and sacred spiritual level to come forward. The perceptions, insights and guidance you receive from this experience will be useful in resolving current life challenges. It will bring your attention and energy into the present moment, which allows you to focus your understanding toward fulfilling your life purpose. Specifics from past lives may or may not be relevant. What is generally valuable is guidance as to how to work through patterns present in ones' current life and opportunities for growth and direction.

No? Gawd, there must be something she can sell you... a coffee enema perhaps?

I just sold my EBike but now want a scooter style and want to get one right away---i noticed this thread and all the information about the GEO bike, and the auction...........yet my understanding here is that it is a terrible bike???
If in fact one can buy it for about $275, add on a bit of tax, and then $185 in shipping, if that is in fact the right amount, would it not be at least ok for that amount of cash OR is this bike just as bad as they can get?

I wrote to someone on CL who was selling some for $800 and he bought them that way as well but told me it costs about $600 when all is said and done, but i don't see why it would cost quite that much so I am not sure if he was telling the truth---in any event, can someone comment on these bikes? And the possibility of buying one myself though it?

I even saw a used black one on sale for $800 yesterday on CL

I understand you are looking for one right away, but take your time. Newer models are coming out faster than Intel processors in the 80-90's. wink
I hesitate to mention Daymak, because I had several bad experiences with them, but they are having sales
on some of their bikes, and the owner seems genuine.
I'm sure that the longer you wait, investigate and shop, will ensure you a better ride.

That's good advice -- take your time and enjoy the test drives. Before I got my scooter-style ebike I knew next to nothing about ebikes.

I saw a Veloteq booth at the CNE on Labor Day weekend last summer, chatted up the person at the booth, took home a flyer, and then got caught up in work so everything took a back seat. But a few weeks later, I called the number on the flyer, test drove a few bikes, asked a lot of questions and . . . left.

I did some digging on the net, discovered many other brands and dealers in the GTA. I called, I visited, I test drove, and I ASKED LOTS OF QUESTIONS. I read message threads online, downloaded manuals (where available), even went to the provincial MTO site because I was still unsure how legal these things were -- I really knew nothing about ebikes.

MONTHS later, I finally called up the Veloteq dealer that started my research frenzy, set-up an appointment and made my purchase.

I'm happy with the purchase I made, because of all the time I took to make sure it was the right thing for me. And in the end, that's what you have to do too -- make sure the bike and the people selling it to you are right for you.

Take the time to dig -- not just online but out there in the real world too. Online is a great place to start, we all have our experiences with the different brands and vendors. And for those of us who love our ebikes more than our own families, we'll gloat with glee about how wonderful our own ebikes are.

Granted, some are better built than others, but in the end, you want a bike which fits your body type, your riding ability, your needs for comfort, and distance. And you want to deal with a brand and/or vendor that you feel comfortable with.

So get out there and explore the makes, models and vendors. Take test drives, ask lots of questions, take lots of notes, compare bikes, vendors, makes and models. Once you start to narrow down your choices, bring your friends in, to get their take -- your friends know you best and can provide a good reality check for you.

Have fun exploring.

You might want to have a look at Zack's GIO in TO site or message him privately. You get what you pay for and, as is often the case, YMMV.

I wouldn't trust a Gio for one second. No company can make a product that will last for that price.

But does anyone believe that the Geo, for example, would be any less or any better than this emmo bike I saw today on the street?

http://www.emmo.ca/g....

EMMO 550A

I asked the person about it being orange, at first I thought it ws a GEO, maybe Zack's Geo in fact....LOL.....in any event, it was an EMMO and she paid $950 before taxes....so i was thinking, that is about the same price as the GEO I think, at least if you buy it directly from them.

Being that most of the better Ebikes start at $2,000, I was wondering how much better the EMMO would be than the GEO.
Any comments?
