Hello everyone! So I'm sure many of you have boughten a Veloteq E-bike. Here are the following questions I had:
1. Does it run great/ Not much maintenance? 2. Where did you buy it from? 3. How much and which brand(optional) Thanks again! Ryan |

Hi Ryan,
My Veloteq Commander RS-V runs well. I bought it from the GTA regional distributor in Scarborough, but when he was at one of the trade shows at the Exhibition Place. I've had it since last July and it's just surpassed 2,500 km on it. I've had very few problems. Most of the maintenance has been due to negligence. The wind blew it over and knocked a few screws loose. I've had to replace the floor mat, which should be screwed on. Other than that, just the usual: tire pressure checks, tightening a few nuts and bolts and cosmetic cleaning periodically. It's been great! It cost about $1800 new I think. It's well worth it. I got to test drive a few models and made sure the one I got fits me well (proper height of seat is crucial to safety and comfort while riding). They sell and repair them at the Segway store in the Distillery District. Very friendly and quite knowledgeable there too. |

Veloteq makes a real E-Scooter, all the rest are just Toys You don't consider Motorino a real scooter type e-bike? Seriously interested, because they seemed at least as good, or better in quality. Still shopping around. |

Veloteq makes a real E-Scooter, all the rest are just Toys Veloteqs are great but Motorino are the best you can get in Canada. Go test drive both and have a look at both. |

I like the fact that Veloteq are 750W and designed for Americans by Americans and their Need for Speed and a speed governor is added for them to sell in Canada. Veloteq designed the E-Scooter and had it made in China to their specs.
Motorino are straight from China to Vancouver and they only use a 500W motor. Motorino buys up whatever the Chinese have to sell them and that sucks. Comes down to who you'd rather support with your money. Personally I prefer Veloteq because their continued success gives them the cash to continue researching and upgrading their products. |

Can't even find any pricing on the web for their product. I guess if you have to ask, you can't afford it. ;) ETA: I see some pricing at Segway Edited by User 12,223,361 on Jun 4, 2010 12:22 AM |

I can't find a dealer anywhere near Yonge/Steeles. Thanks, I did see their site. If you think that is near Yonge & Steeles, your e-bike must be fast. ;) Edited by User 12,223,361 on Jun 4, 2010 9:23 AM |
