What is a Bicycle Station?
A bicycle station is a secure, indoor bicycle parking facility designed to meet your transportation needs. The Bicycle Station at Union Station includes a change room, a mechanic stand and a variety of tools for customer use as well as a vending machine with emergency bike necessities such as tubes, tire levers, patch kits, energy bars and refreshing beverages. Security measures include a "man-trap" door system to prevent people following others into the station, 24 hour video surveillance as well as staffed hours during the day. The Bicycle Station is also a great place to get information on bicycling, walking and public transit in Toronto. The Bicycle Stations many features make it easier than ever to ride your bicycle in Toronto.

How it works

It takes three simple steps to register for a Bicycle Station Parking Plan:

Print the registration form (PDF)
Fill out the information
Bring the form to the station

Once you've filled out your application:
You will need to go to the Bicycle Station during operating hours to complete your registration, pay your fees and pick up your Bicycle Station Key Fob. Be prepared to show photo ID.

A repair stand, tools and air pumps to keep your bike in good working order.

Shared Bicycles
Members of the Bicycle Station receive free access to the Bicycle Station at Union Station's Shared Bicycle Program.

The Shared Bicycles are available to any member for any reason. In case you have a flat tire or other mechanical failure, or you just want a change of routine you can pick up a Shared Bicycle and continue along your way. This is another way parking your bicycle at a Bicycle Station makes riding your bicycle that much easier!

During staff hours members may sign out a Shared Bicycle for use during the day. The Shared Bicycle needs to be returned during staffed hours.

Fees are currently:

One-time registration fee: $26.91
Parking plans:
1 month $21.53

Future Locations
The City of Toronto is planning a number of future Bicycle Stations across Toronto toward supporting one main goal of the Toronto Bike Plan: to double the number of bicycle trips made in the city by 2011.

Prominent locations for 2011 include the City Hall Bicycle Station which will include approximately four hundred parking spots as well as showers. There will also be a number of Bicycle Stations built at TTC subway stations across the system map. The Bicycle Station lifetime membership will count towards every City of Toronto Bicycle Station. Hi Lock

Thanks for your inquiry. We do indeed have outlets, however only bicycles with an electric motor addition are allowed. Scooter ebikes do not fit in our facility.

Hope that answers your question,
Kate
